Ceibas of Memory was created to restore ecological corridors on the island of Bioko while reclaiming the symbolic value of the ceiba, the tree that in our identity represents the encounter between African and American roots.
Each tree is planted with a host family that documents a community story tied to the territory, creating a living archive of environmental and cultural memory.
The project combines community nurseries, training in agroforestry and school environmental education days, generating local jobs and a sense of belonging.
